DIY aPAD, attenuation Pad for the Rode Videomic and videomic pro

How to make a PAD attenuator in order to damp one channel of the Rode Videomic or Videomic pro. Since these microphones are mono the signal is doubled to the left and right channel. We can damp one of them and then we have a wider dynamic range, so in case some loud noises clip saturating the recorder we can use the attenuated track.
