Applying a noiseprint in Sound Forge 9
 

I cannot work out how you apply a noiseprint to a file after you have captured the noise print.
I can see how to capture the print from a background-only section, but I don't know then how you apply it to the whole file.
The help files in S/F are most un-helpful in this regard.

Can anyone tell me how to do it please ?

Select a section where the noise is ( I assume this is what you have done) and create a noise print. Name this noise filter ( save by clicking on the disc icon to the right of the naming box. This named filter will now be in the drop down filter list with the defaults. Delete the markers you used to select this section. Now select the whole audio file and apply your named noise filter. You can then check to see if has worked and I usually then do a "save as" to a new file name so that I still have the original and the one with the noise filter applied.

After selecting and capturing a 'noise print' in NR-2.0, you can right-click anywhere in the blank area just below the 'Bypass' and 'Real-Time' check boxes, which will bring up a context menu... There your may choose "Select All Data"

Why can't the people who write the manuals be as concise. Your explanation and help was spot-on.
I found the help/manual to be quite useless in this area.
