Recording with iRiver T20/T30 supports 44khz - 16bit?
Can anybody tell me?
I want to use it as portable recording device I can't get my hands on 512 or 1 GB of the 700 / 800 series here in holland. Only T10 to T30. I've downloaded manuals. In the 700 / 800 manuals the 44khz-16bit recording-ability is specified. It's not specified in the T20 - T30 manuals. (T10 turned out to be no option anyway, because it's got no line or mic in) thanks |
Unfortunately, the IFP series iRivers are being phased out :-(
There are a few online sources of the units still available ...i.e. B&H Photo etc |
Believe it or not, a lot of "audience tapers" types use the Nomad Jukebox 3 for recording. It's been discontinued also, and it looks kind of big (like a portable cd player), but it has some nice features like 16-bit recording, ability to take line-level and mic-level inputs, level meters on the screen, and it can accept a digital signal (which is why a lot of tapers use them because they use an external analog-digital converter and just record to the device). Anyway, just a thought, you can find them on eBay for cheap too (<$200).

Happy ..... :-)
After a another whole day of shopping around every electronic shop I could find in the neighbourhood of my hometown, at last I found a 790. Not as big as I wanted (was looking for 512 or 1 GB) but anyway, for now I'm happy and have a new toy to play with. Thanks everybody for support.
