Alkaline or NMH setting in Zoom H6 for Lithium batteries?

I'm setting up my Zoom H6 and will be using Super Lithium AAs in it. Remarkably for such a recent product, "Lithium" is not an option to choose for battery type in the menu. Would NMH be the best option for it to use for monitoring remaining battery life, or Alkaline?

There's no problem, is there, with using lithium batteries in it?

Thanks

Ron

Use the 'Alkaline' setting. Lithiums have the same voltage as an alkaline, whereas NiMH have less voltage.
For instance, a fully charged AA NiMH is typically 1.2 volts.. a new alkaline (or Lithium) AA cell is 1.5 volts.

Rick is correct. Check the voltage. Alkalines are 1.5v, rechargeables(Nmh) are 1.2v.

The question is whether the meter will give you accurate info about battery life as the power curve is different on LIthium compared to Alkaline so it may just say you have plenty of power left until you don't. Best test it out by draining a set of batteries and see what the meter tells you. Also I would write the company and ask them if they are aware of this issue and see if they can upgrade the device in the future.

By the way the manual says use Alkaline or NIMH so you also might want to clarify with them why they don't mention Lithium Batts.

Yes, Lithiums have a (graphic) discharge curve similar to NiMHs, (however higher voltage and longer) .. good. good, good.. dead) like NiMH's, one must be familiar with how much run- time can be expected... without getting caught .. with yo' pants down.

Rick is always correct!

And he never sounds like he knows it all, he just does.

"Not always.. and especially not when it comes to women."

Understanding Women? I was implying you are knowledgeable....not omnipotent!
