sennheiser g3 settings for different devices

I was looking for some advice on the settings you guys use for your sennheiser g3 with different devices.
Below are the settings I'm currently using and I'd like to get some feedback on what I can do to achieve better recorded audio.

Dslr - The dslr audio level is set one notch up from the lowest setting. I've heard that's the best settings since the camera doesn't have a good preamp.

Tascam DR-60d/Zoom - I'm not sure if I should use the gain on the g3 or sound recorders for better audio. I usually set the g3 receiver to -12 and play with the gains on the tascam.

Zoom 1 or any other small voice recorder - I usually set my zoom to 50-65 and play with the levels on the g3.

With the transmitter adjusted optimally for the sound source; the G2/3 EK100 portable receiver's AF menu setting of -18dB or -12dB is good for many Mic level devices (XLR input, Phantom Power OFF)
For +4dB Line level inputs, the AF out should be set to maximum gain. (+12dB I think). Even then it may be a little anemic on some inputs, but usable.

What you want is proper gain staging. There are lots and lots of explanations of gain staging out there, that's just one.
