Edirol FA-66
Well it looks pretty in pink..
Anyone have hands on experience with this? What are the pre's like? user recommendations ? |
John,
I have the FA101 which is the same unit with a few more inputs. I am very happy with it. Preamps are OK, but I use a valve pre for my studio condensor because I like the rich sound that it delivers. Compared to video preamps they are great, but compared to some of the more exotic audio gear around they are only fair to good. As I mostly do video work these days they are excellent for this job. |

That's good to know btw how did you get on with the tele you were looking for? |
John,
Have not really had satisfaction here. Bought a cheapie - total rubbish just threw away US$100. Haven't been able to get any of the old canons, so I am looking at the Century second hand (a rare thing) - or something else. I really would like a reasonably priced 2 times that fits easily, but they still don't exist. WIll jsut have to wait. I am sure eventually something will come up! All the best with the Edirol . I am very happy with mine. |
I just got a FA-66 and I like it.
However, I immediately noticed that the left channel had lower volume. Hence, I need to access the built-in mixer using an ASIO capable application to adjust the balance. Any idea how to do that? At present I only have Avid Liquid, WinAmp and Audacity. I need to change that :) |
Sorry... I was sold a bad/broken cable. No problems with the FA-66. It's lovely.
