MixPre vs Beachtek DXA-8

Hello!
What major differences exist between MixPre and Beachtek DXA-8?
I want one of these units for my Panasonic video cam's miniplug mic input and for using with my minidisc recorder.

I know that the MixPre is more expensive, but what features does it have that might justify the extra price.
Thanks in advance!

Mix pre has balanced output, is a true mixer allowing the mics to be panned left, right, or centre, noise<-120dBu compared to Beach < -80 dBu, line or mic level outpout comared to mic level only, high bass (low cut) filters ...

The MixPre is a fully professional product from the get-go; the Beach is an excellent prosumer grade product. Get the MixPre if the budget allows.
