- XLR combo inputs
- AA batteries
- Bundled with Cubase LE
- Records on SD Cards

A tad bigger than the Edirol R09 but looks like it will give the Edirol and Microtrack a run for their money.

It now appears to be actually available (though not at B&H). But nobody has yet to publish any specs on it, which makes it suspect to me.

It seems to be just what I"m looking for. I've heard that it will be available in October, according to B&H. Sweetwater though don't seem to have any date or restriction on shipping. Does anyone have any further information, like specs, hands-on reports, delivery dates ? We need to know. Otherwise, what is the best alternative for interviews and stealth concert recording, the Oade modified Marantz 660 or the Edirol R-09, or A.N. Other?
Cheers

Ian

This looks great IF it works as stated. The only question I have is whether or not the unit is balanced or unbalanced. With XLR it should be balanced, but others have fudged on that.

From the advertising, can anyone get a handle
on how the 4-track recordings are done?
Are 2 of the 4 tracks from the built-in mic's?
Are there 2 or 4 external mic inputs?

Here are some specs:

I have a preorder in with sweetwater.com, and was told they expect delivery sometime I early September.

Looks promissing, I already have a Microtrack and R-09, and will be comparing it to these. Also, it's nice that it's $100 cheaper.

You'd think they would be able to publish meaningful specs if it's almost on the market.

I agree, but most of the specs are posted.
I would liek to know if the unit (which it probbaly does) has a hold swich on it, if I can do digital or analog pass through, and if the XLR/1/4 inputs are balanced (Which they probably are).
