generating word clock from black burst?

Seems like there's a perennial problem of wanting to sync externally recorded audio to video. Any video camera that outputs a composite video signal has a built in sync signal in the form of a black burst signal. In fact, the Tascam HD-P2 uses this signal to sync their audio recorder to a camera video signal. I have a Sound Devices 702 digital audio recorder that can sync to a word clock input. Does anyone make a word clock signal generator that generates a sync signal from a black burst input signal?

Several word clock generators will lock to a video signal. Mostly black burst is nothing special, from waht I've seen anything that expects black burst on a n input will accept a plain video signal, black or not in the frame doesn't matter.
The only trap seems to be the quality of the word clock generator and how it handles loss of the video signal.

Not cheap (around $1700 USD IIRC) but very stable, used by quite a few sound for pic people I've talked to - seems to be one of the few Rosendahl products B&H doesn't list tho... Steve
