Alternative Clip For Sennheiser ME2
 

I have the Sennheiser EW112 G2 wireless kit with the (standard) ME2 lavalier capsule. But the clip seems a bit cludgy. I often have to clip people wearing t-shirts, and it never seems any good for that (always ends up rubbing).

Does anyone know of any alternative clips for the ME2?

I found the Rycote Undercovers to be really helpful. They are a 3M double sided sticky dot with a felt cover in black, white, or gray. I usually stick them to the T-shirt's neck ring.

I've seen folks use Dr. Scholl's (or other brands) moleskin and/or use first aid tape, the kind that's meant to stick to skin, to tape mics and wires to the actor's skin. These are both sticky on one side. The moleskin has a felt texture and is flesh colored. The tape is white and sort of transparent.

You can use the various adhesives to stick to the skin of your subject, hiding the mic and wire in the crevices and valley's of the actor's body topography, or following seams in the clothing.

To make the adhesives less sticky, try sticking the adhesive to the subject's clothing, or sweaty palms, which will make the moleskin/tape less sticky and less likely to hurt when removed. If the actors get sweaty, or are moving around a lot, you may have to reset the mics and replace with fresh adhesives, sometimes between takes.

You can also use a "vampire" which is a clip that has a couple of sharp metal "fangs" to stick into clothing and sometimes the actor's skin, if you aren't careful.

Oops, sorry. Not sure where you would buy in the UK, but the B&H pages are a good example of the kit. You could also buy it without the connector and wire it yourself, but for a coupla quid more, might as well let them do it.
