I don't want to hi-jack the thread but I wanted to thank Guy for the great product reviews. You have eliminated a lot of the leg work when it comes to research. As a side note, I am puting together my agencies editing budget for 2007-2008 and have included the purchase of several items that you have reviewed. Your prices are below the other vendors that we have been dealing with.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I watched the demo of the G2 and thats exactly what I want to do with it. Its sort of a "package" and has every piece I need basically. It may be worth the $500 in the long run.

I also want to possibly use a boom mike somewhere down the line rather than lavelier. Shouldnt this also work if I get the mike adaptor thing. Just attached it to a mike, stick it in a boom, and synch up.

Just trying to think about whats easiest. I usually do outdoor interviews and wonder if hooking up people to a belt/lavelier solution one after the other would be more pain in the butt than just aiming a small boom outta camera view.

You can you can add the Sennheiser SKP100 as seen in Guy's other product review ( http://www.dvcreators.net/products/sound_movieframe.htm ) along with your receiver from the EW100 G's. Just keep in mind that you must choose which frequency range you want, either A, B or C when ordering.

That is something I would like to have. I currently have some Azden VHF wireless mics that do just that and actually works... as long as cell phones are off, fresh batteries and so on and so forth but I would like to try and move up to a better system but I constantly find the need to have 2 mics going at once. I guess the standard solution is to get 2 kits and plug them in to a mixer or something? Would love to keep the single receiver getting both singals. It seems that the 1800 Series from Audio Technica can do this but does cost a bit more than I can handle right now. Azen does have a 2 Chan solution that uses UHF which seems the far better solution to the cheap VHF which comes in at around $700 for a kit. Any thoughts on this Azden? Simply a case of you get what you pay for?

Good info thanks. Is there a "ideal" frequency range or are they all pretty much as good as the the others.

Speaking of range, whats the wireless range on these devices. Will probably affect how I compose things.
