Thanks for taking the time to respond. I watched the demo of the G2 and thats exactly what I want to do with it. Its sort of a "package" and has every piece I need basically. It may be worth the $500 in the long run.
I also want to possibly use a boom mike somewhere down the line rather than lavelier. Shouldnt this also work if I get the mike adaptor thing. Just attached it to a mike, stick it in a boom, and synch up.
Just trying to think about whats easiest. I usually do outdoor interviews and wonder if hooking up people to a belt/lavelier solution one after the other would be more pain in the butt than just aiming a small boom outta camera view.
