My first recording with an NT3 and cheap preamp

Here’s a little vlog clip with my new mic and preamp/ audio interface. The mic is a Rode NT3 hypercardioid. The preamp/audio interface is the ART Tube MP Project Series w/ USB going straight into my PC to Adobe Audition.

I recorded in a "podcast style", about 4' from my PC, and didn't clean up the track with filters or anything, other than remove some of my stammerings.

My goal is to use this mic for interviews and interior dramatic stuff, and the occasional VO. I'll need to A/B the preamp vs. the on-board preamp on my new Canon XH-A1 to decide which to use for location shooting.
