Paul,

Where abouts in Newcastle do you live? I am at the top of town and was just wondering where you were working. Don't see too many Novocastrians on this forum - or any forum for that matter.

Hi Paul

I have the Behringer UBB1002 and it works OK with batteries, but as it's a "desktop" model, it's not very easy to use round your neck. You may want to have a look at http://www.signvideo.com/fpamxr.htm for a budget "ENG" style mixer.

It has most of the features you'll find useful (like limiters) and isn't too expensive. I have one and it works fine - I think Ty has written a review somewhere...

Hope this helps
