Other audio programs like Bias' SoundSoap 2 (Mac)?

http://bias-inc.com/products/soundsoap/

I was wondering if there are other Mac-friendly apps that can do what SoundSoap 2 from Bias can, ie, clean up background noise, etc.?

Thanks,

Heath

on the lower cost side, nothing is as good as Soundsoap Pro, what comes with Soundtrack is about as good as Soundsoap 2.

I've been trying SoundTrack, but I can't quite figure it out. Sound's never been my specialty, lol.

There is a noise reduction feature in both Amadeus II ($30) and Amadeus Pro ($40) at http://www.hairersoft.com/Welcome.html. This feature works reasonably well, but I haven't used it a lot (I make every effort to minimize background noise before recording) and have never compared it directly to Soundsoap. In general I think Amadeus is a great value and you can try it for 30 days for free. BTW, I have no connection to the company.

Best wishes,
Peter

thanks for that link, Peter. i'd forgotten all about Amadeus.
For the cost, it's a great application, if the second version is anything like th first.

I think it's an improvement. It certainly runs smoother than Amadeus II on my Intel-Mac.

Best wishes,
Peter

30 day trial? Music to my ears! I hate that I can't try out Soap before I buy it. I'll download one or the other, or both, and give it a shot tonight.

And for the record, I try to minimize noise, too, but our locations happen to be near roads that have been widened in the last few years due to enormous growth in West Palm Beach, FL. And free locations are the best!
