Line Adapter for Wireless Mic

Hello Everyone,
I just bought a Shure A15LA Line Adapter for my wireless mic AKG PT81 to be connected directly on the DJ's mixer. Anyone using this adapter. One end of the adapter is female XLR and the other end is Male XLR. My question is, is it ok to connect it in any direction?

That device is not needed. I have one that I use when driving a microphone level input with a line level signal. For that, it is just right.

Regardless of the level your wireless puts out, line or microphone level, the DJ's mixer can handle it directly.

I think it is not intended bi-directional. It is intended to accept a signal, attenuate it, and feed it out at a different impedence. I cannot think of an application where going backwards through the attenuator would be needed.

Thanks Mike, I just tried to plug it in to my VCR line output and works great! The volume control of my wireless mic is in the middle to get the clearest and loudest sound I can get. I didn't try to hook it directly, scared to damage my wireless transmitter by overloading the input.

Hello, I just want to make a follow-up on this thread. I tried to hook up my wireless transmitter to a line output of a DJ mixer, first the volume control is in minimum and I hear too low sound so I slowly pump up the volume of my Transmitter until I get the desired sound. Chris is right, no need for line adapter when using the AKG PR81 Wireless system. Thanks Chris.
