Lectro UCR-411 versus 411A - anyone?
 

Hi. Can anyone tell me the differences between the Lectrosonics UCR-411 and the 411A? Thanks

411 works only in 400 mode
the 411a works with 200, 100. ifb sennheiser and the last version works with shure as well ( some say it works with the audio technica 2)

Ah, thanks Oleg. Are the performance feature the same (sound quality, current draw, range, cross frequency, etc.)? For examle, the 205D versus the 200 (If my memory serves me right?) draw quite a bit less than the 200 (or 201). I have the 205D (luckily) and want to upgrade to the 411(A).

in 400 mode they are the same , the current draw is the same as well , if i remember correct they pull 180ma at 12 v
i had the 200 and 205 before , both had the same performers exactly, lectrosonics changed the power sirquet so the 205 drew about 250ma against 400ma on the 200 . , both still i think have the best reception characteristics between the 200 series , i worked with my in 200-300m range in the desert (no external antennas).
if you can live with the 205 and mostly doing documentary you can stay with these till lecto would come next generation ones .

Hi Oleg, yes, and I now read when using the 411, you can not use the 205D as there is a 3 millisecond delay with the digital hybrid conversion. I can use either or, but not both at the same time. Do you agree?

not an issue for me
the 3 ms delay equal to one meter distance , its only radical when you have 2 people who are in very close range and you mix the both mics to the same track , i mix 200 with 400 with out any problem in 95% of the time .

Just to clearify - when you say two people on the same track (mixer situation I'm guessng?), or do you mean same channel (on my betacam channel 1, versus channel 2). My scenario would be one mic'ed talent (lav) on podium, channel 1, Lectro 205D. Channel 2, lectro 411, shot gun pointed at audience for question and answer type response (room ambience). Although the visual wouldn't really matter, the syncronizing of both audio channel when watched would.
