Video and Audio monitoring latency issue

A question for all you pro's out there...
I am currently using Final Cut Studio on a Mac Pro with Decklink HD Extreme and a M-Audio Firewire 410. My output settings in FCP are having the Decklink for video viewing on a HD Monitor, and Using the firewire 410 for a multichannel audio output. I seem to be having a sync issue with the video and audio not in sync. Does anyone know how I might can correct this?

I know if I use the SDI audio output of the Decklink I can get synced audio with the decklink HD component outputs, but I can't seem to find a device to give me a6 channel multiplexer of SDI output.

Any ideas?

Thanks for any help!
Bob

Although i am not familiar with m-audio, it sounds like your interface buffer settings are too high. I use 256 when tracking on my MOTU 2408. higher buffers produce latency, while lower buffers reduce it, trading off that your comp processors will be under more strain at lower settings. hope this helps

I can't find any settings for latency... Do you think it's core audio that will not let me dealy the audio?

Hmmm, had a similar situation.
Using FCP and Multibridge Extreme. Componet out from Decklin to Monitor.
RCA audio out from decklink to mixer to speaker monitors.....SYNC WAS OFF, maybe 4 frames.
The way I fixed it was to loop the audio through the monitor and then to the mixer.
This is a high def plasma, so it was a bit slow. Fixed the problem.

I don't think there is a way to get the firewire audio to sync correctly with picture from decklink.
FCP is sooo buggy in this regard. I'm hearing a lot of sync issues from people using FCP.

That would sound like a good idea to fix 2 channel sound, but I'm working with 5.1...

I wish there was a box that could delay the signal 4 frames! Of course I would need 6 of them!

Anyone else have any ideas? Seems like AJA and BlackMagic would have come out with a card that seend out video as well as 6 channels of sound.
Thanks!
Bob

There is a frame offset preference somewhere in FCP, it might that care of it.
Can't remember exactly were it is.
So many settings.
One of my biggest complaints about FCP..... some of the settings are not saved with your project. Some stay at where the last user set them.
