Anyone tried this follow focus?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CINE-Follow-Fo...QQcmdZViewItem

It's a cheap one on eBay Has anyone tried it £170 ish compared to the Redrock which is about £330 (cheapest pro one I can find)

I've just bought a Redrock M2, mount, AChromat and Rails for £390 !! so now all i need is a decent follow focus. Any other recommendations?

Ocean,

I see you are based in Brighton. You are welcome to come and test the SGfollow focus is you like, we are in Peacehaven.

Some of the reviews are no longer valid as the manufacturers have update/improved their FF since the review was done. It would be nice if those were redone or at the very least are appended with the fact that they have been updated so the viewer isn't misinformed.

The only unit that I'm aware of that has been updated is the Indifocus. We haven't been provided with an updated unit, so can't really speak to what may have changed. Are there other units that have been updated since then?

Yes, the SGpro FF or I guess it's now just called FOLLOWfocus has the standard accessory port for whips and cranks. The current video mentions that they were going to update it and they since have. I haven't watched the others yet.

As far as the IndiFocus, I actually have one. It now has the standard accessory port and I believe the vertical adjustment is thicker and sturdier now. I don't have the old one so I can't do a side by side to verify, but from the video it does look different.

The new whip is heavy dutie and doesn't twist like the one in the video, either.

I'm using thatcinecity follow focus, and i'm pretty happy with it. I also bought the whip, which is a little jerky, but overall it's a ghood deal. TYhe company is easy to deal with and offers quick delivery.
