Because 12A2C have inside camera head processor:

possible implement CineformRAW in silicon and transfer through
GiGe to portable NAS based on 2,5" HDD or SD/CF card?

This is great!

I think a practical way (decent software capture solution) for NORMAL people to operate the camera in NORMAL circumstances (eg. outside on the street) would be excellent. Ive seen MANY attempts of people tryna do this with no results so far.

Alot of people recommend the silicon UI - that would be great!

Ive seen somewhere on this site a good cheap laptop chestmount, just plug the cam via gig-E and shoot - surely thats straight forward? I mean normally the computer/settings part of a camera are on the cam itself which is not ideal.
IMHO I think the laptop rig is the best because the cam itself is small, light, and the settings are a proper software UI based with big/high res monitoring!

I hope Im not misinformed and this makes sense?

Is there a list of notebooks that have been tested with 12A2C?

Or more general: Which notebook-chipsets have enough GigE performance to capture with the 12A2C at 1080p 25 fps 12 Bit RAW?
(the chipset in my PC seems to have very poor GigE performance)

When will RAW recording be available?

Why is this thread dead ?
 

Interesting camera. Yet no one's talking about it ?
