Anyone using Letus Extreme on S270U?

Hi all,
I am very interested to buy Letus Extreme and use with S270U, and I would like to know your opinion on this one.

Thanks for all your opinions!

letus

It is working, I have researched trought some forums.
It is using the same ring (72mm) for FX1 and Z1 cameras.

And more: read below answer from LETUS SUPPORT TO ME:

Hello,
Yes. You can thread either the Extreme or soon to be released Ultimate to the end of the stock lens. We are planning to develop a modular addon in the future that will allow you to attach the Letus adapter directly to the camera body.

Dumb question ahead. Whats the difference in the Letus on the Z7U vs. just getting a 35mm adapter and connecting a Nikon lens to it?

The Letus would give greater control of depth of field. It gives the equivalent 'imaging' area of a 35mm stills camera by projecting onto a ground glass screen. The camera then records this projection.

A Nikon adapter means you can use Nikon lenses, but you still use the 1/3" imaging area of the video chips. This means the same DOF as with the standard lenses.

The focal length changes dramatically - you need to multiply by about 7 when you use a Nikon. This means some spectacular telephoto lenses!

If you want more info I suggest you try Philip Bloom's site and forum. There are some really helpful videos that explain everything. (Even I understood it...) I'm sure if you Google him, you'll find it.

I was actually on Phillips site and he has some really cool stuff. I shoot a lot of weddings, but the only part I would use the adapter for is the Bridal Prep. Its usually tight quarters with lots going on. I would really like having the depth of field that the adapter offers. But, after multiplying everything by 7x, this might not be a good idea.

Hi, Chad!
Multiplying will be only applied if U put photo lens directly on a camera, without letus, M2, or some simmilar adapter........

Buy Letus, and U will be delighted!

I'm seriously considering a Letus Extreme now... having seen some of the footages out there convinced me it's a good investment that can set you apart......

does the Letus fit between the camera body and stock Z7 lens? or do you have to go with the SLR lenses?

If anybody has any more examples, please upload them!!!
