Letus 35A and HDV?

Has anyone had luck with the old Letus35A and HDV video? Is it better suited for DV?

I have been using the Letus35A with my HV20, my FX1, and most recently, I was forced to use it with an HVX200 when our Letus FE went haywire.

I have modified the 35a by replacing the stock achromat with the Cinevate 72mm achromat, as well as replacing the motor at one point because of a broken lead.

The FE was definitely easier to handle, but with care, I could get a decent image out of the 35a. Of course, the footage has to be flipped in post.

That is good to know. I am still having the issue with the patterns of the GG when pointed at walls etc - I haven't fixed that...how did you combat this issue?
