Focus screen size

Is 35mmX19mm too small to be a focus screen?

If shooting 16X9, this is just cropping vista vision.

So it's too small to shoot 16x9?
I read somewhere 36x20 is good for 16x9.

Academy is 22x16. If you zoom into much would your lens not be what you're actually shooting with?
Say a 50mm would be like 75mm if you use a screen that small?
