Anyone used the Pro-Optic 645 D.O.F. Adapter?

I have seen the ads for the Pro-Optic 645 DOF adapter sold through Adorama that uses Mamiya medium-format lenses:

http://www.adorama.com/PRODOFA.html

I know the designer of this lens has posted on this forum before and I have seen some footage from it, but it all looked terrible because it was from YouTube and Vimio.

Has anyone had any shooting experience with this adapter? Does it look good?

The price is not bad, $750, but of course who wants to pay if it doesn't work well.

Any feedback would be appreciated...

Winston Vargas....good luck getting footage or feedback. One guy and I mean one guy only posted feedback about the adapter and it was compressed footage as well. The one thing I did hear that is an added benefit is it's medium format and you don't need to use an Achromat....other than that, you're one of many who want to know more about this adapter.

So nobody in the DV community has taken the plunge on this product?

It must have some merit since Adorama invested in manufactering and advertising it...
but on the other hand if it was "all that" why haven't we heard more about this product?

If you could get a good 35-ish DOF from an adapter costing $750 using cheap lenses from Ebay, it SHOULD be all the rage. I wonder...

adorama just sells it. they dont make it. like bh sells the letus and the brevis products.

Its at a great price point, but the lenses are much more expensive than the Nikons that I would be using.
