Question about static35/aldu35 focal flange distances

the focal flange distances shown here http://www.gregssandbox.com/gtech/filmfacts/flange.htm for the Nikon 35mm SLR @ 1.831" does this mean that any nikon slr lense for 35mm cameras will work at that distance? Like a Nikon 28-85mm zoom. Or does it have to be a 35mm non-zoom static lense?

Flange focal distance is a specification of a lens mount, so any lenses that use that mount must focus to infinity at that distance (unless otherwise stated).
