mini35 in -20 degree weather
 

Just curious if anyone has had any experience using the mini35 in what I would call extremely cold conditions, say between -20 and 0 degrees celcius for about a 12 hour period.

I may be hired with the mini35 for an 8 day shoot up North. What might some of the concerns be?

I heard from PS Technik in Germany and they suggested no lower than 0 degrees (which is the normal operating temperature for most cameras anyway). For anything colder they suggested a heated barney.

Art Smith, a fellow Mini35 user, is succesfully using the system in the Alaskan Arctic (ANWR). I know he keeps it well protected but it is holding up.

Any idea if it's the 300 series or older - or the new 400 series that's being used? I wonder if there would be a difference between the two in colder weather since the 300 rotates the glass and the 400 vibrates it?

I know Art is using a 300 series (or before).

As to whether the image screen movement is effected more or less between the series would be a question for Guy or P+S directly.
