Michal,

Nice images!

Looks like there may be a tad bit of color fringing / aberration in the pics.

Could you give us the low-down on what you used?

Thanks for posting!

Frank Ladner January 18th, 2005 10:22 AM

Well...I was just checking out your site and I think I found the answer. Looks like a DVX-100(a) and a LOT of screw-rings / spacers.

( Looks much better than my masking tape version. LOL! )

Michal Gutowski January 18th, 2005 10:28 AM

that's older version of it. Now there is less spacers. Today i'll share pictures with setup.

Excellent! Looking forward to more posts.

Thank you!

Michal, looks great to me! I can see some lens distortion on the sides, but that could be part of the look. I was getting similar distortion before I switched to a Beattie screen that has a fresnel surface on one side. So that could be a next step if you're looking for a next step. :) You inspired me to flesh out my updates page outlining how I made my XL2 version.

Overall, Congratulations!

I'd like to ask what condenser should i use for 35 mm lens? What parameters should be for this glass? There should be the same curve and height and other parameters,... that is in focussing screen in 35mm SLR camera

there is condenser too...

Flatten, grinded side front to 35mm lens.

>Slr |)(| (| >[CAMERA]

with condenser will be the best?

michal : thank you for the clip. what a beautiful place in the world

to test out your new lens adatper. the clip is very sharp.

this is a link to the patent for the movie tube.

they seem to use two plcx with the wax (ground glass) sandwiched in between. slr(I). so i think am am going to try this pattern of lenses 1. slr 2. c mount 3. thorlabs tube 4.plcx(, 5.groundglass I

6.next flat glass over ground glass to equalize focal points on ground glass. 7.plcx ) 0n top . I just need one more plcx 70 fl.

could you try and find the patent info and picture of the mini35 by P+S Technik ?

Frank Ladner January 19th, 2005 09:38 PM

I think it was posted here once, but I couldn't find it through the search feature.

Maybe someone will re-post the link.
