Just wanted to say thanks for posting this.

Hayden Rivers January 27th, 2005 08:58 PM

Wow. That looked great. I'd probably work on the asteroid, but that's about it.

Was it shot on the FX1 or FX1E? What mode was it shot at? 60i? CF25?

What did you color correct with? Any use of Magic Bullet?

Dave Eanton January 28th, 2005 12:35 AM

Hi christopher,
that was simply incredible!!!

What lenses did you use with that? What NLE were you using and was there any 3rd party color correction plugins used?

Sorry for all the questions. I was excited to see that clip.

Thanks for sharing that video.

I gather Chris is in demand at the moment so I hope he doesn't get too upset for posting some stills he sent to me

if you have seen the video - it sort of dispels the notion that the FX1 is a reality show cam

That's interesting... A lot of their previous clips have been done by the same Belgian production company and when I first saw this one on tv it struck me as being a different style... which is a very good thing because too many belgian videos are made by the same people and they all look the same.

I must say I was convinced it was film when I first saw it.

nice one.

IMX and P+S convertor pro

But i like this format better than anyother formats in your work.
IMX and P+S rocks. Its cool. It looks better than HDV my personal opinion.
Why its not IMX for other projects? Is it expensive?

Jose di Cani August 12th, 2005 01:35 PM

HI Chris (hallo)

I have checked out some of your videos and first of all, I must say thanks for putting your stuff here so that others can see what can be done with the equipment you are using.

The fettes brot movie ahd some good shots, but I think it was way to static. It doesn't stand out . And the cuts from scenes are too standard, not moving...while the music is moving and party-like. Too much unnecesarry scenes make it hard to follow and continue watching. The good thing is the shot with the sun. And the shots in the desert are amazing.

The other movies (nnete lousian movie) are beautifully shot. Pretty girl, nice subway shots. Again, it doesn't stand out but lots of the shots are shot by a profesional. You can see it. Continuity lacks (something is lacking in the cuts of the scenes from one scene to another). It lacks diversity, But nice colours and eveyrhing.Nice shot almost at the end of the close up shot.NIce.

Another thing that struck me is the use of the dissolve effects in all of your movies. DOn't use it too much. The thom movie is the most natural I think. Nice shots. Looks like youa re in the shot yourself. NIce colours, vibrant. Nice. DOF is amazing. The shots in the open sku with the cars...great!

Dennis Hingsberg August 25th, 2005 07:38 AM

Rafeal & Christoper - what version series did you use with the mini35?

Thanks.
