What every happened to Agus35?

Did Agus actually make and distribute his machine? I read all his posts, then he seemed to disappear into thin air! Anyone know the status of the Agus35?

Where is the AGUS35?

There does not seem to be any developments in a commercial direction published.

As for R & D, I think you are running with the baton right now.

Agus Casse pops up every now and then.

If you are thinking of tubes and round enclosures, I can post (snail) .pdf files of the plumbers versions but these are not ideal for accuracy of building. Nor are they as steady as the project box.

The design is actually intended to cope with build errors of up to 5mm out and still work, because there is a lot of adjustment built in..

Thanks Bob,

I would love to see the pic of the Cylindrical housing - my major problem right now is finding a project box that is 4.5+ inches deep. (6X6X4.5+). I have a radio shack box that is 8X6X3, but it is not deep enough because my PV-DV852 Pana needs to be about 4.5 inches away from the GG to work properly and focus. Any suggestions?

How about attaching the whole thing on the tripod mount (on the camera) with a adjustable rail. Maybe use a old fashioned 'harmonica' type thing between the adapters housing and the DV camera lens.
The plate on which this is all attached should also have a tripod mount. (This is my setup anyway)

Yes, someone mentioned that, Mark I think. Right now, it is functional as is - still going to sourse out a deeper project box, but the bellows might be a way to go. Right now I just finished making a TRIPOD attachment that works with my tripod so I can attach the rails to it.

The non-erecting version can be found in www.dvinfo.net/media/hart as "Aguscam.jpg".

The larger enclosure for the disk and motor is two sewer pipe caps with a partial internal collar to keep them aligned and to exclude light leaks at the join.

The smaller tube goes right through and uses two smaller pipe caps for the lens mount at one end and the camcorder lens hood mount at the other.

If you can put the small caps in a lathe chuck you can get the center axis accurately.

I love how his site has been 95% done for the past year.
