Possibly useless info.

The Sigma 50 x 500mm still-camera zoom lens is a seriously good lens to put on front of an erecting AGUS35 without the groundglass and the versatility of small prosumer camcorders can be extended for such things as sports or aircraft videography. A good firm fluid head tripod is necessary. The lens goes f4 - f6.3, which makes it a bit unsatisfactorily tight for groundglass work. Provided you set up a notional backfocus first by turning the Sigma lens focus ring to infinity then give the PD150 a few seconds of auto-focus, the camcorder autofocus will follow a zoom-through as long as it is slowly done. Light seems to be a bit of an issue. You find the camcorder tells you to go from ND1 and ND2 a lot.
