My first adapter!
I know people have been building these things for a few years now, but I've finished my first adapter for my Optura Xi. The ground glass is flawed now after months of testing, but it still works. I'll try to find a replacement soon. The condensor made all the difference in the design. If the video doesn't work it's because I've used alloted bandwidth for the hour.

What kind of condenser are you using?

It's a 52.3mm 78.4 F.L. I fit this into a 55mm filter ring and secured it with the stopper the filter came with. Worked wonders on my uneven light distribution. |
awesome, what are you using for static gg? Do you see grain? It looks good.

Well right now it's a ground uv filter, but i'm thinking about an optosigma or beattie, etc... Any suggestions? The one I have now is ok, but it does have a tiny ship on it now, and it probably looses more light than the professionally made ones.

Riley,
see my posts on this thread http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...7&page=1&pp=15 about the optosigma ground glass. it doesnt seem to diffuse the light enough. Wayne. |
Hey Riley,
could you graphic up your adapter with arrows and details which is which? You have alot of spacers in there and I personally would like to know where the GG is etc... |

I'm not very good with photoshop, but this should help a little. If you still have questions, let me know. The design isn't set in stone, I'm still tweaking. |
That is great ,thanks!
