Hey Quyen

Not bad... Noticed it got darker at the top of the image.

Also, what camera was used?

Quyen Le October 8th, 2005 12:58 AM

I think he uses XL1s, thanks.

It looks good overall. Just some shots look really soft. Don't know if it's a focus issue or if it's the adapter sharpness. Is this L35 or L35A?

Quyen Le October 8th, 2005 08:25 AM

This is Letus35 not Letus35A. thanks.

Can't wait to see some Letus35A footage.

Obin Olson October 8th, 2005 11:43 AM

what new on the 35A ?

Quyen Le October 9th, 2005 01:57 AM

The 35A basicly has the resistor remove to make the motor spin faster. We originally put the resistor in to reduce noise but seems like it's not that necessary. We also changed the drill size to make it spin better. Please do not use 4AA on the Letus35A. I use a new coated achromat instead of the 58mm macro lens. Price is $50 on top of the Basic version, thanks.

Why is the image darker at the top of the frame? Is this something that was applied in post, or is it the result of the adapter?

Eniola Akintoye October 12th, 2005 11:50 PM

Quyen Le,
The footage on your website is awesome.
I like the one with the XL2.
So your adapter uses a Battery?. Well, someone like me needs something that uses an AC power cord, cuz I do not need a weak battery to mess up a whole footage.
Also, are you in the U.S or in Europe. If you are in Europe, how can you make your adapter compatable with the power supply, here in the U.S?

Also, are you having a commercial look out like every other producers or you are going to leave your models like the picture of it you have on your site?

Quyen Le October 13th, 2005 12:27 AM

Eniola Akintoye

My adapter uses 2AA batteries. 2 fresh ones can run for more than a day, so if you want good footage, get some fresh ones ready.
I am in the US. I think batteries in the US or Europe will yield the same voltage.
I am working with machine shops to make a new version but turn around time is not very good. There will be some changes in the new version. We are also working on Rod support and will have both of them done before Christmas. We don't make final decision yet on what we are changing since we are still collecting data from betatesters. I hope the new version will have better quality and will have better look. It will come black anodized as standard. We want to take time to do it right and when it's out, the basic version that we are offering now will no longer be available. Thanks for asking.

Quyen Le,
Based on what you just stated, what will be the FINAL PRICE of the new improved (comercial version) Letus35A Adapter including the iron rod, macro lens, etc?. I also believe that the new version will have an electric power supply, right?
Can you also tell/list the full package your customers will be getting when they purchase this adapter at a particular price?.
