FIshEye Lens for Mini35

Hey, Can anyone tell me if the Carl Zeiss 16mm f/2.8 F-Distagon is a good fisheye lens and $1700 is a good price. I want to use it ith my Mini35 and HD100U.

Thanks

Duke

Although all my lenses are Nikon, the Zeiss lenses are all excellent. Don't know about the price, but you should get great performance from it. Because of the smaller format (than 35mm still), you won't get so much apparent fish eye effect, because most of the distortion is at the edges of the frame

My widest lens right now is 24mm @ f2 and for interiors I find it too dark. f2.8 would be worse. YES lighting is an option, but with such a WIDE view light placement or positioning could be very tricky.

Outdoors, no problem at all.
