Hi Quyen,
I asked you this in a previous post but can't seem to find it anywhere. The plastic thread on the lens mount has three sections that the lens actually locks on to. One of them is stripped down abnormally, what should I do with this?

Send it back to you?

Leo Mandy November 7th, 2005 06:50 AM

You should email Quyen directly, that would probably be the best approach.

Will your lens stay on tight? if it does, it's OK. Thanks.

Quyen

It'll stay on but looks like not for long...

I don't know what you'd call them but the other two "clip/lock down pieces" are maybe an inch long but this third one is about 1/4 inch long and thin.

I have a shoot this weekend and we're using your product but don't want to go into the project and half way and have the lens loosen up because that last piece gave out on us.

Can you send me the same Nikon mount so I can replace this or is it complicated to replace myself?

Quyen Le November 8th, 2005 09:17 AM

The Nikon bayonet has 2 longer and one shorter flange, thanks.

I assume that's a no.

Also assuming that all the black plastic shards that I'm constantly shaking out of the adapter is normal? And that the "shorter" and almost completely gone third flange is supposed to be normal?

What a joke.

How do I get my money back?

Quyen Le November 8th, 2005 12:37 PM

Send it back, I will replace it for you, it's not easy to replace it yourself since it's a little tricky to get the moving patterns to get rid of the grains. Thanks.

Ok great, thanks... I'll send it on Tuesday of next week.

Quyen,
I couldn't get my lens off my Canon FD bayonet mount a few days ago, and really did a number on one of the flanges as I was wrestling it off. I think the lens will still mount correctly, but I'm just curious...how much would a replacement Canon FD mount cost?

Ben,

Check your mail, thanks.

Quyen
