Elite Lenses

Hey, Anyone knows about ELITE LENSES? Are they any good? And if so, which ones?

I found them here: http://www.slowmotioninc.com/sales/35_lenses.htm

They are Russian lenses [zeiss copies?] - and are apparently very good - certainly a lot cheaper than Zeiss primes at a snip of the cost.

Think late Generation LOMO lenses - there are some good discussions on cinematography.com about Elite and Optura [S16mm] Russian lenses.

It's probably a silly question and likely shows my ignorance and deficiencies - but - does anyone know the flange to focal plane distance for the "PL" mount. The only mention I found suggests 20.76mm. If that is so, then my adaptor would have to undergo a major redesign to mount such a lens.

Would the image quality from one of these lenses be sharper than a good Nikon?

From what I have read so far the Elite lenses are top of the line, but I wanted to get soem feedback on someone who has used them. Probably rent them for a day and check them out myself.
