35mm adapter to 1/2" or 2/3" CCD cameras

Is there any 35mm adapter to 1/2" or 2/3" CCD camcorders like the newest Sony's XDCAM-HD or Thomson GV's Infinity in order to achieve the same shallow DOF of the 35mm still lenses ?

PRO35 from P+S Technik is the only one. It supports 2/3" bayonet (B4) mounts.

Isn't there affordable ones like G35, M2, etc?

don't 2/3 chip cameras already have more dof naturally? or, in this senario, would the point in having an adapter be to have access to more lenses, as opposed to having to purchase or rent super expensive lenses?

and doesn't the hvx has an 82mm thread, as well as some larger format cameras? maybe a g35 might work on a large format cam. that's a good one to quiz johnatan about over at cinemek.com

2/3 chip cameras has a DOF equal to 16mm film. Let's bring in this allways as useful chart: http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/dof/index.htm

Even the difference can be huge I still believe the DOF isn't the greatest benefit when using a 35mm adapter with a 2/3 chipper. That is if we are not talking about some situations where razor thin DOF is needed.

Quyen said he's working on one for the jvc hd camera. though its 1/3", the principle should be the same, right?
