Lowcost easy DIY static adapter

Hi all,

I've been following these threads for a while now and have enjoyed
playing around at building a static adapter (which might or might not get motorised at some stage).

As a lot of the info was gleaned from this site, I thought I'd post some instructions as to what has worked for me in the off chance that it might be of interest (or indeed use) to anyone.
It's biult entirely from components bought off ebay and bolts together. The whole thing cost under 70 quid and unlike most statics, doesn't use the Thorlabs although that is probably a neater solution.

There are some captures at the bottom but it's at night indoors so not much light to be had. I'll put up some more when I've had a chance to play.

regards,

Dave

David, I've seen a few of these DIY guides posted before. Yours is the best to date in terms of a complete start to finish guide. Nice work.

yes, I also appreciate your work. And the work of so many others on this forum who take the time (sometimes a lot of time) to share their experience.

ooo.... I'm getting a little teary-eyed...
