nikons

I understand that somewhere there is a guy who will modify your still nikon primes to work better on these units. Better gear drive for follow focus etc,, any idea if this is true and how to contact that person??

Dan Diaconu has lens gears for sale - I have fitted a whole set of Nikon Primes - and am about to put an online Nikon lens "tute" up.

http://www.dandiaconu.com/newweb/index.htm

I geared a 24, 35, 50, 80, 105 & 135mm and a short Sigma zoom with Dan's gears - it's pretty easy really, and he makes a very good little follow focus with very little basklash.

The Nikons breathe a bit [not all lengths] - but are more than adequately sharp for use on a ground glass adapter. I'll try to post some clips soon with examples.
