LetusXL - simple question

I appologize for the simple question.

I have a Cannon XL2 and am interested in a 35mm adaptor. Can anyone tell me the latest Letus model that I should be considering for use with the XL2?

Thanks...

Tim

And if you are interested in a LetusXL Flip v1, I am selling mine. :)

Jason-

I am interested. However, I would like to purchase the latest version of this device for the XL2. I'm not sure if your model is the latest. Is it?

Send me an email to discuss.

Thanks...

Tim

The newer version is the v2.... more expensive but sharper, less light loss and easier to use but also more expensive.

Ash-

Thanks... I have read many of your posts in the XL2 forum. You give great advice. Thanks again!

Do you use the LetusXL Flip v2? If so what are your thoughts on this unit?

Thanks again!

I have one and use it for fun, for me, it is mainly a novelty for my personal use. You can get some good images from these home adapters but if I need that look in a professional environment, I just rent a nicer camera. The Movietube adapter is probably the only one made for real solid pro use but at $10K+ I dont see the point attaching it to a $3k camera. The Letus stuff can look very good, it is just much harder to focus, monitor for lighting, etc. etc.

Thank you again Ash! I agree... if you are shooting professionally why not just rent what you need.

If I use the LetusXL Flip v2 (I assume unit does not attach to the lense) can I still use the Zebra functionality? I understand that focus is would be manual... but what other functions do I give up by using this device?

Zebras remain. Anything involving the lens goes. Image stabalization goes. No built in ND filters. No autofocus as you mentioned. Shutter speed remains in control and any other feature found 'in' the camera rather than interacting with the lens.
