nikon coupling shoe

If I'm using Nikon lens for a 35mm adapter only, does it matter if it has a broken coupling shoe (the rabbit ear thingy)? I'm looking at a lens on ebay so it'd be great if I can get a response within 1 day and 8 hours. Thanks!

Provided the rest of the lens is there and not damaged, the rabbit ear thing can be gone and the lens should be okay to use.
