anyone using redrock ff etc..
 

ive got the letus35xl v.2 just upgraded my tripod head to a 503 so decided i need some better support.

wondering if anyone uses the redrock gear (follow focus, rods, support, etc..)
and their thoughts on it. the price is right for me.. any other options anyone can offer?

all their gear is of high quality...and their shipping is very fast these days. Cavision very nice, and they do a nice support belt type thing to help support the Letus.

Andrew, How do you find the image quality...I have the flip and I know yours is a different beast but do you get proper clean images under proper lighting conditions. I just am completely unable to get an artefact free image. Always got that film of grain. trying to find out if any other Letus owners have the same problem or mine is at fault

ive used the original letus35, the 35xl and now the 35xl v.2

im extremely happy with the 35xl v.2 the image is very clean.

then it must be my Letus...when I leave the motor off then turn it on you can clearly see the grain slightly blur rather than dissappear. I need to find a way to make the motor vibrate more...

or less.. it depends on how the oscillation works in accordance with your shutter speed. (frequency-wise) check out the grain differences with different shutter speeds. using 1/48 with my xl2 eliminates almost all the grain and even more so with 1/24

for me (on Pal) if I go below 1/50th then I get half resolution with my z1. So my shutter stays on 1/50th. If I go over 1/50th I can see the grain actually moving...
