"De-Flipping" The Image (Not Post-Prod.)

Hi guys,

I'm very interested in the SGpro (Wayne, I'll be emailing you shortly with a few other questions) but am very weary about the flipped image (both horizontal/vertical.) I would be using a vx2100 and was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy an external monitor and place it upside down because I've limited funds and wanted to use the adapter on an upcoming video shoot. Is there any solution (seeing as how there is no picture effect on the camera itself to re-flip the image) to see the image properly on the LCD/viewfinder? I'd find it impossible to frame a shot while seeing it in reverse.

Thank you guys very much (so far you've all been an outstanding help!)

The image is not only in reverse, it's upside down too!

Haven't tried with my VX2000 LCD, but have with the FX1, and you can flip the image on the LCD by use of a small magnet. Works great on FX1, and I assume on VX's

Aaron, there are various strategies depending on your camera. Many people shooting HD are acquiring external 7" LCD's for use with focus assist, so these units also double as an inverted/reverted viewer. What are you shooting with?

VX2100.

I'll get an external monitor when I switch to HD in a few years, but for now its just SD (and on a budget too, SGpro is expensive for me as is.)

Could you possibly right up a tutorial or a how-to with the magnet trick on the FX1, Chris?

I'm sure it would work the same.

Thanks.
