Nikon to JVC Lens Adaptors Price: £185 +vat
 

Just found this lens adaptor and I was wondering what would be the differences and benefits of this adaptor( http://www.mtfservices.com/ ) conpare to the letus35,Brevis 35 , redrock m2 and other lens adaptors under $ 2000.

The Nikon to JVC MTNIKJVC cots only £185 around $300.
Photographic lens is increased by almost 7x.
No ground glass.
No battery need it.
No Light loss ( I am not sure about this)

I have never used this adaptor but I am thinking in getting one.

Any comments before I buy it.
Any reasons whay I should not buy it.


Would the letus35,Brevis 35 or redrock m2 give me a better quality image?

I own the JVC GY-HD110 and I lot of Nikon prime lenses.

Without an imaging element or gg or whatever you call it, the focal length of the nikon lens is magnified by 1.5x (if I remember correctly). If that's what you want, then this is for you. But I want my 28mm lens to work like a 28mm lens and 50mm to work like a 50mm lens in terms of angle/field of view, and image distortion. Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

I did not know about this,
So the letus35,Brevis 35 , redrock m2 and other lens adaptors under $ 2000.
Will keep my 28mm at 28mm and the JVC MTNIKJVC will increase the 28mm X 7?

But if I use the JVC MTNIKJVC the image quality would be better than the letus35,Brevis 35 and redrock m2?
I am saying this bacsue of the light loss , the ground glass and you have to keep the original camara lens to use this adaptors.

You are looking totally different concepts here. The letus/brevis/redrock etc are designed to give a cine style image, some use spinning ground glass and a variety of tricks to give a close approximation of a 35mm DOF and allow the use of photographic lenses.

The MTF/JVC MTNIKJVC/ZOERK/LES BOSHER mounts are a machined converter that allows you to put a Nikon/Canon EOS/FD/whatever onto the front of your JVC. The different CCD size results in a reduced angle of view from the lens and the apparent 7.2 x magnification.

I use the MTF adaptor and it works fine for long lenses. If you want wide 'primes' then go for one of the letus types.

That sounds right. Wow, i didn't know it was 7x. Who wants that? Also I think the imaging elements in these moving adapters give it a celluloid texture to the image on top of reduced DOF. Just my subjective opinion.

My MTNIKJVC was never meant to replace the Redrock, P&S Technik etc etc.
but rather to meet a specific requirement (extreme telephoto)

With My adaptor there is no light loss but there is the 7.2X increase in magnification.
