If i could get close enough to the SLR lens, that would be better than going with GG?

I've been off the field for so many time... ( I have no idea of what is going on today ) ---- anyway...

I was playing with my little macro lens today, and i've just found, that i can go very very close to the SLR, without getting any vignetting.

The only thing that i don't really like to much, is the fact that i have to put the SLR very far from the macro. ( let's say, the long of a toilet paper tube. )

I haven't done any recording yet. -----

but i really want to know HOW crazy is this.
I don't know if i'm wasting my time.

The image looks very sharp on the LCD ( no vignetting ).

Will this give much better results than going with GG ?

thank you very much.
sorry for the bad english.

Unfortunately, you will not get a shallow depth of field using this method.
