Letus35A on Canon ZR90

I decided to see what would happen when I placed the Letus on my old consumer, standard definition video camera. Now the camera was horrible to begin with but I was pretty impressed with what happened with it after I tossed the Letus on it. Now this was just for fun, and I had to zoom in quite far to even get a usable image but my little experiment worked out better than I thought.

You can view it here: http://www.justincorreia.com/videos/canon90.wmv

Now please mind you that everything is extremely shaky because it was pretty much all hand held and the Letus is about the size of the camcorder itself and was sitting on 7 step-up rings! Not to mention everything was upside down! So I had to do a sort of balancing act where I held the camera, held the Letus so it didn't rip off and then pulled focus.

The footage is pretty grainy, simply because this camera is horrible in anything other than direct sunlight. You'll even see grain on gloomy days with this camera it needs so much light! But like I said, it was a small experiment and I kind of liked what came out of it.

I used a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 for the entire video. Stopped down to about f/4.8 (f/4 +1/2)

Cool...

Hey Justin,

It looks old and vintage. A good look to go for in camera. I wish I could mod my Betamax recorder to use an adaptor.
