View Full Version : Sanity check needed...

Since updating to the latest firmware, I am pretty sure I have shot 30P with 1/60 shutter. It's supposed to work that way, but earlier in the week, was shooting with higher shutter speeds. Went to put everything back in my normal mode at home and noticed shutter starts at 1/125 now. I checked it in DVCAM and HD and it's the same. I even reloaded my firmware, no change. In 23.98, I still have the lower shutter speeds, but in 30P, when toggling through from ECS to SLS and back to regular shutter, it starts on 1/125.

So, can any of you who are running the latest firmware on the F350 check your camera in 30P and verify that you still have 1/40, 1,60 available before 1/125?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Greg,
I just did a quick test of my camera, and I have 1/40, 1/60, but I have to cycle through the all the choices to get to them. In 30P, my shutter boots up at 1/125, and if I keep clicking the switch... I'll get the lower values eventually.

Unfortunately, I am not. Mine cycles from 1/125 up to 1/2000 and goes on to ECS and SLS before coming back to normal shutter mode at 1/125.

Thanks for checking,

Well, doing an ALL PRESET from the user menu cleared out whatever bogus data was preventing the shutter from giving me all values. I've got my 1/40 & 1/60 settings back now.

Just an fyi,

You have to remember that in this day and age, the camera is just a computer with a lens and viewfinder attached. Therefore, I take the same attitude about troubleshooting camera issues as I would with any PC.

I'll add that I recently had a F350 that stopped displaying thumbnails, I did an ALL PRESET and it cured the problem.
