After cleaning my 1D mkII sensor, I have a spot that won't go away. I think it might be a single dead pixel... (assuming SLRs get dead pixels) does anyone know if the Canon 1D has a pixel masking function? I have lost my English manual, and can't figure it out from the French manual I have...

I should just ignore it... It's unnoticable except for the rarest, F20 occasions... but now that I know it's there, I'm getting anal about it. :)

Thanks!

Here's your English manual: http://media.the-digital-picture.com/Owners-Manuals/Canon-EOS-1D-Mark-II-Manual.pdf

I don't believe the 1D2 has a pixel remapper built in, but some software should provide the functionality you are looking for. Try ACR or Pixel Filter (Pixel Fixer | Hot pixel removal utliity (http://www.pixelfixer.org/)).
