heh everyone i am new to this forum
spend most my time in pana forums as i own a 953/mx-500.
My dad is into nature filming and is considering the use of this camera. can anyone give me advice. is it gonna work a lot better then my pana and is it suitable do you think. if anyone has links to any good frame grabs apart from the big4 japanese site that would be great also. Thanks guys.

Hi Justin,

I am fairly new to the XM2 having just bought mine a couple of weeks ago, but I am given to believe that if you set it to the "Frame" mode it gives much clearer (frame grabs) stills.

Maybe someone has tried this and will post their findings.

Canon's original promotion of "Frame" mode (1990's) was aimed at capturing crisp action shots. Since it deinterlaces the image it does produce sharper frames of moving subjects than conventional interlaced footage will produce.
