Hi all.

I have been given a set of scene files from sony for the PDW-700 and F800 along with a PDF describing each file. These are modifications of the files originally created for the PDW-F3** XDCAM cameras.

Thanks Alister,
These should come in handy.

Having had a look at these, they are indeed handy and good starting points. One thing I did notice was that they all have detail set to OFF and Aperture at +19. I'm still looking at aperture and detail settings, trying to work out what I like. I would suggest that users of these profiles asses the detail and aperture settings on a profile by profile basis. Some of the very high contrast looks will need less detail addition compared to the lower contrast looks which will may want more detail.

Might well be better to adjust detail settings based only off the aperture adjustment. After all the aperture setting is affecting the detail frequency area that is most useful AFAIK.

Have these settings been set up with scopes? I noticed that the scene files that Panasonic released recently for the 300 were way out over legal levels.

At the moment I'm leaning towards detail -10 aperture +42 and frequency +90.
I find detail off just too soft on big screens. Big difference between detail 0 and -10, also frequency at +90 greatly reduces the visibility of the detail edges, while aperture gives a boost to high frequency detail. I'm still playing but quite like where I am at the moment.
