A fair number of us have at some time or other bemoaned the lack of a good file based XDCAM Proxy editing solution for FCP ... over the past year or thereabouts the rather clever Bouke Vahl of VideoToolshed fame has been working on an actual honest to goodness solution which he has now released. I've just been looking at his demo video and whilst its a bit clunky as workflow's go it does look like a pretty reliable solution. Its not going to be useful to all and sundry but for some it might be just what's needed.
