Hey,
I was just playen around with my GL2, and when I played back the movie, you can hear it zooming in and out, like a humming noise. Is this normal? Please let me know thanks!

Yes, it's normal for the onboard mic to pick up zoom servo hum during very quiet clips.

thanks, sphew I thought something was wrong.

2nd question.........My LCD Screen in the top right hand corner there is a black spot like a pixle is missing, is this common? I just got the camera less than a week ago. I really dont want to send it back to Washington where I purchased it im in CT. I think Canon should pay for shipping charges since is a defective product.

But anyhow is this common? Or anyone else have this proble?

Dead pixels on lcd displays are not "common" but they're not uncommon, either. Only you can decide if this is a sufficiently significant problem to warrant Canon service. If the camera is new and still under warranty I'd suggest getting it repaired.

IMHO: Back to shop, get a replacement. Shop sends it back. They aren't worried . . I wouldn't bother with a repair . . In the UK I would have had it back in a trice! The shop wants to show you how "friendly" and accomodating they are .. SO they can sell you more gadgets! It aint just about what you just purchased . .it's all the "other" stuff they know you'll need to be buying . .IT WORKED on me!
